Product Description |
| Take your golf game to the next level with this 8-piece Adams Golf a2 Iron Set for right-handed men. It starts with the 3 and 4 hybrid iWoods, with low center of gravity, higher MOI, and less spin than conventional hybrids--perfect for mid to high swing speeds and aspirational golfers. The 5, 6, and 7 irons have a hollow-back design, which moves the weight low and back for easy hits and long range. The 8, 9 and PW clubs have a cavity-back design and shaping that's designed to maximize forgiveness yet still appeal to the better player. The 3 and 4 iWood clubs have an Aldila NV 85-gram hybrid shaft, while the other clubs offer a True Temper Players Lite 105-gram steel shaft. About Adams Golf Adams Golf was founded 1987 by Barney Adams. In the early years, the company was a golf equipment component supplier and contract manufacturer in West Texas. In the 1990s, Adams Golf relocated to Dallas to concentrate on custom fitting and new product development. I can't really compare this product to any other new clubs since this is the first set I've bought in the past 10 years. I play golf about once a month, so I was looking for a good set that was not too expensive. The irons are heavier and longer than my old set, so it took a little bit to get used to them. But once I was hitting well, I was getting about 15 yds longer than my other set. The hybrids are amazing. I have never been able to hit the long irons well. The hybrids are extremely easy to hit and are very forgiving (and they come with cool headcovers).
I recommend this set for any mid to high handicappers who are having trouble hitting the long irons and anyone who does not want to break the bank. |
Hard to imagine a better deal than this!!!

| These are extremely well-made, easy to hit and great looking clubs. They are forgiving, yet do not have the garish look that some of the latest "game-improvement" clubs have. They are clean with a professional look. Seems like the best of both worlds to me. I am in my mid-50's and have taken the game up again this summer. I am not as strong as I was in my 30's but I have never hit the ball straighter or farther. These are pro-line clubs unlike my previous set, where every club felt/swung differently and you were rarely rewarded even when you hit the center of the sweet-spot. When you hit the sweet-spot on these clubs, the ball EXPLODES off the clubface and produces shots that have real character. Off center hits result in playable results. I purchased this set with Aldila 85-G graphite shafts on the irons and the two hybrids. Maybe this accounts for the added distance. If you are past 45 I would recommend you get the graphite...you will be able to play them for years to come. The feel and balance is consistent from club to club as are the distance increments. If I had these clubs 20 years ago I'll bet I would have kept playing in spite of other commitments that led me to stop playing. These are 2006 clubs but who cares? Take advantage of great savings on this terrific pro-line club. The matched Aldila shafts separate this set from department store sets with graphite shafts...with these, you know you are getting the best...these shafts are played on the tour. Why not get the best you can afford. I have no more excuses, bad shots are no fault of the clubs. Adams has become a great name in golf and its easy to see why. |
